Blog Archive MBA News Wharton Adds Team Discussion to Admissions Process

Blog Archive MBA News Wharton Adds Team Discussion to Admissions Process The Wharton School has  announced  that for the 2012-2013 admissions cycle, it will add a new team-based discussion component to the admissions process. The program, which was piloted during the 2012 Round 3 interview process, was clearly considered successful, and it will be launched as a mandatory part of the process this season. According to Vice Dean of Innovation Karl Ulrich, the team-based interviews allow candidates the opportunity to interact with fellow applicants through discourse involving real-world business scenarios, which will highlight how they approach and analyze specific situations. Further, the discussions give Wharton admissions directors a first-hand look at how prospective students would contribute to a community in which group learning is central.
